Fernand & Laurent Pillot

The origins of Pillot go back to the 17th century in Chassagne, when their ancestors worked there in the vines, produced the wine and above all made barrels. And it was in the 19th Century that the Pillot family abandoned the cooperage and extended the property on the hillsides of Chassagne-Montrachet. Fernand and his son Laurent, the 4th generation, again extended the estate in 1992, then in 2001 with the takeover of the Pothier-Rieusset vines in Pommard. Today, Domaine operates 14.8 ha of vines for a total of 22 appellations. The vines are mainly concentrated in Chassagne-Montrachet and Pommard, but also in the terroirs of Santeany, Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Volnay and Beaune. All wines are vinified and aged in our cellar in Chassagne-Montrachet, reconciling modern facilities, respect for traditions and our centuries-old terroirs. The vines are cultivated in agrobiology with great care and the soils cultivated without the use of chemical herbicides.
