Based in the southern tip of the Côte de Beaune, Bertrand Bachelet took over the family estate in 2011, continuing a tradition that spans four generations. The domaine manages 13 hectares across several appellations, with a significant focus on the rugged, hilly terrain of Maranges, as well as holdings in Santenay, Chassagne-Montrachet, and Saint-Aubin.
Bertrand is known for his technical precision, aiming to produce wines with great aromatic purity and refined, structured tannins. The estate's Premier Crus from Maranges, such as "La Fussière," are highlights of the portfolio, showcasing the power and soul of the region. His approach in the cellar involves careful temperature control and a judicious use of oak, resulting in wines that are both robust and sophisticated.
