This historic estate has been farmed by the same family for six generations and is currently led by Joannès Violot-Guillemard, who succeeded his father Thierry. Based in Pommard, the domaine owns 15 acres (approx. 6 hectares) of prestigious vineyards across Pommard, Volnay, Meursault, and Beaune.
The estate is particularly famous for its holdings in Pommard's finest Premier Crus, including Les Epenots and Les Rugiens, both of which are considered candidates for Grand Cru status. The vineyards have been managed organically since 1999. In the cellar, Joannès avoids technical interventions like reverse osmosis or yeast inoculation, preferring a style that captures the power of Pommard while maintaining remarkable delicacy and elegance.
