Located in the heart of Chassagne-Montrachet, Domaine Bruno Colin is one of the most respected names in the Côte de Beaune, established in 2003 following the division of the legendary family estate, Michel Colin-Deléger. Representing the fourth generation of his family’s winemaking heritage, Bruno Colin manages approximately 8.75 hectares of vines spread across five prestigious communes: Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay, and Maranges. The domaine is renowned for the incredible diversity of its holdings, which encompass 22 different appellations, including a staggering eight Premier Crus in Chassagne-Montrachet alone and elite parcels in Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru.
Bruno Colin’s winemaking philosophy is defined by a pursuit of purity, freshness, and tension, famously treating almost all of his thirty different interpretations with the same traditional methods to allow the unique mineral signature of each soil to shine through. The vineyards are managed with a sustainable ("lutte raisonnée") approach, utilizing mechanical tillage to protect soil health. In the cellar, white wines undergo a gentle pneumatic pressing and are aged for 12 months in oak barrels followed by 3 to 6 months in stainless steel to preserve their aromatic lift, while reds are fully de-stemmed to ensure a deep fruit character without harsh tannins. The resulting wines are a masterclass in balance, offering the classic weight of Chassagne with a "chiselled," saline minerality that makes them appealing both in their youth and after extended aging.
