Domaine Édouard Confuron is a small, meticulously run estate in Vosne-Romanée, crafting intense yet refined Pinot Noirs from some of the Côte de Nuits’ most prestigious terroirs. Established in 1989 by Édouard Confuron and now led by his son Yves with brother Jean-Edouard at the helm of winemaking, the 7-hectare domaine includes grand crus Echezeaux and Charmes-Chambertin, plus village-level Vosne-Romanée and Nuits-Saint-Georges from very old vines.
The farming is organic (certified since 2020) with biodynamic principles, horse-ploughing in key parcels, and ultra-low yields. Vinification is traditional: 100% whole-cluster fermentation, gentle extraction, and aging in mostly used oak to preserve purity and site character. The wines are deep, aromatic, and structured, yet marked by silky texture and vibrant energy.
With tiny production and a devoted following, Domaine Édouard Confuron represents the pinnacle of artisanal Burgundy. Its bottles are prized for their transparency, elegance, and exceptional longevity, delivering a profound sense of place from the heart of the Côte de Nuits.
